This boot gives very good support and is durable. Good water tightness and strong laces.
Im going to snowdonia this winter and this shoe just fits so well. With C1 crampon, it can really handle the problem with snow. And even so good without snow, i just wear it on normal hiking and it just so good.
This is my second pair of Scarpa SL (I alternate between them to give me opportunity for complete clean, drying and reproof). The ordering/delivery process was easy and efficient. The boot is very comfortable (1st pair I have been wearing for a year) and the design is good (good spacing between lace points make relacing simple). My coastal walking involves some shallow streams but never had any water ingress.

New SL Active arrived quickly and have been gently breaking them in. Size is good as I have other recent Scarpa boots. So far I'm expecting them to be better than my 32-yesr old Scarpa SL Atacks which have been excellent.
Excellent boot, had them 6 days and done 21 miles local walking already finding them comfortable straight out the box. Had a couple of pairs of Scarpa delta leather boots in the past and expect these to be every bit as good and durable. Excellent service from LD Mountain Centre, will definitely buy from them again.

I have been wearing Scarpa SL Activ boots for some years and the new pair is a good as ever. The boots were improved a lot when Scarpa introduced a leather lining to replace the pervious fabric lining. The SL Activs have seen me through a lot of big mountain days and I look forward to more.
After much research online I decided these boots looked right for me. LD's price was very competitive, and Andy helped me with fitting, including providing volume adjusters. Having worn them in the house for a week, and overcome slight heel lift on one foot only (I have peculiarly shaped feet!) by using a different lacing technique, I am now finding them very comfortable, and am looking forward to getting out on the hills with them.
I’ve had these boots on my radar for some time. Having now purchased them, I am really pleased. They are very comfortable. This boot is a rare example of the ‘one piece upper’ where there is no stitching on the inner aspect of the boot surface. It costs more, but you get better water resistance.
Good solid construction with a vibram sole and rubberised welt for improved protection against knocks and water . Double stitching with a sewn in tongue and breathable lining . Four hinged lower eyelets and 3 upper quick lace hooks. Superb comfort and true to my size 46 (I always buy using euro sizes as I know that 46 scarpa or lowa is exact . These boots are perfect for my walking , hiking , rambling across moors and hillsides , and for my weekend visits to beach .
