Snowboard Baselayers and Thermals

Good layering starts with good baselayers and making the right descision about what you put next to your skin is a very personal choice. Make sure you pick the best baselayer for you, whether that's a natural fibre like merino wool or a synthetic fibre. SmartWool, Mons Royale and IceBreaker produce some of the best quality and most popular merino wool baselayers.  They are soft and warm and guaranteed not to smell, which means they will stay fresher than synthetics so you don't need as many changes.  If you prefer to choose to go down the synthetic route (a lot of people don't like having wool next to their skin), then North Face, Odlo, Arcteryx and Norrona manufacture a great range of styles. Merino wool and synthetic base layers come in a variety of warmth ratings and thicknesses with zip or crew neck and long or short sleeve and full or 3/4 length bottoms, so there's something for everyone, and at LD Mountain Centre you can even get yourself a onesy!
