Born in Newcastle in 1966 as part of LD Mountain Centre, Berghaus began life upstairs in our Dean Street store — where we still trade today, over 60 years on. Founded in 1966 as part of LD Mountain Centre by Peter Lockie and Gordon Davison, Berghaus was born right here in Newcastle upon Tyne. In fact, the very first Berghaus products were manufactured upstairs in our Dean Street store — the same location we proudly trade from today, over 60 years on.
