Product Reviews for Crux
I also have a pair of Scarpa GTX walking boots. Buying online is always a hit-and-miss for fitting and wearability, so an little nervous just blindly ordering. I took the same size as my Scarpa boots. What an amazing fit, Straight out of the box, they are superb for me. I did a short 5/6Km walk just to break in and I found them extremely comfortable. The build quality is very robust. If I get a couple of years out of these, then I will be pleased, as money well spent
Amazingly comfortable and supportive. Really helps with a long time knee issue when I renew them. Decent for scrambles and liw grade rock climbing too
Over the years I've tried various approach shoes, and so many have just not worked. Not sticky enough, or maybe the laces just failing, or generally just wearing out too soon. But the Scarpa Crux provide the perfect shoe for me be it a day scrambling in the mountains, or working with clients at the crag. Great fit, wonderfully robust and sticky enough to trust in all sorts of situations up high. Good prompt delivery from LD Mountain Centre too.
These are my fifth pair of Salomon Crux trail shoes. They are brilliant, hardwaring and really comfortable. Delivery was prompt and tracked. Great service
About my 5th pair. Excellent and comfortable. [Don't last as long as I'd like, but I use them for knocking around the city mainly, which they're not designed for, so that's my fault.] Arrived quickly, as advertised. Thanks
Easy ordering process and efficient website Swift delivery of a great product at reasonable price. My second pair - not found a better shoe anywhere.
Hard to find in stock anywhere- prompt delivery and my 4th pair of these now, my favourite approach shoe.
Fast delivery, perfect fit (having several other pairs of scarpa shoes), quality is great, with a bit more cushioning from the sole and slightly more padding in the upper, than my older scarpa approach shoes. Comfortable out of the box.
If you're after a summer shoe for walking/ hiking which isn't necessarily waterproof, I recommend these. I use Haglofs in the winter for the rain and snow. There's greater flexibility with these and you can walk comfortably with assurance on dry days. The only downside is the underside of the tongue near the front of the shoe. They could improve the finish of this as the stitching can rub against your 3rd toe causing a blister, necessitating two pairs of socks. Maybe this will ease with use. Really pleased overall and I'm likely to use this brand for summer shoes going forward.
I’ve had these shoes for a few weeks and walked about 120 miles or so. They were comfortable from the box but they did need some breaking in. The sole is hard enough to be comfortable over rough ground and flexible for town.
A good all-round walking shoe. Easy to get a good fit due to the extra lacing, so you can loosen the toe fit and tighten it elsewhere if needed. Didn't require much, if any, breaking in. Definitely recommended.
Great shoes been tested straight out the box on a long walk with no blisters or rubbing , great for general day use as well
Absolutely in love with this shoes they are great as soon i got them my friends had a enquiry about the shoes so i purchased 4 of them in total from the LD MOUNTAIN CENTER as it was on a good deal. This shoe makes me look ally thanks LD for the great deal as usual.
I bought these because of the Scarpa brand name and am delighted. I twinned them with Superfeet insoles and they have been comfortable right out of the box. I've done 2 short fast walks, each of 4 miles, and they have been fantastic. They put a spring in my step! Brilliant shoes.
This is a very good shoe with good traction over many different surfaces the more you wear it the better it becomes very comfy with no movement on the heel, ideal for footpaths and road work. Very quick delivery cannot fault so far.
