Fleece and Midlayers from The North Face

Layering up with the right fleece will undoubtedly make your time spent outdoors more comfortable and as a result, more enjoyable. The basic principle of a fleece and the reason they are so widely used by outdoor folk is that it provides a soft, warm and non bulky layer to keep you warm in cold conditions. Our North Face fleece range is extensive and there are fleeces here to cover all needs from a simple layer for gently paced walks to more robust and durable fleece jackets for more demanding trekking in the mountains. In the right conditions i.e. favourable, these fleeces can be worn as outer layers but when the weather deteriorates they are perfect as a midlayer to be worn under a soft or hardshell jacket. If you are considering an outer layer then take a look at our North Face softshell jackets, perfect for use over your new North Face fleece.
