The Dolomites With Salomon Skis Review

Post Author: Olivia Jackson

The Dolomites present some pretty incredible terrain for snowsports. There is something for everyone, and everyone can enjoy the striking turreted mountains towering above.
These Aira 80 skis were tested in; Pampeago, San Pellegrino, Cermis & Belamonte, which are some of the areas within the Dolomiti super ski.

These particular skis are designed for “the athletic intermediate up to advances skier”, I wouldn’t call myself an advanced skier by any stretch, but I still found the Salomon Aira 80 skis were perfect for my abilities, not too demanding but still enabling me to get better as the weeks went on.
They were very nippy and handled the turns really well, I was able to gain speed with every carve when I wanted to try and push the boundaries, and even when I did, these skis remained stable.

Before using them I didn’t know too much about their construction so wasn’t sure how they would handle in powder conditions, but on day four of the trip, I got to properly test this out as we had a massive snow dump the previous night. We were out early in the morning to make fresh tracks, and they handled the powder so well! Working with the ski’s to blow my way down the hill felt like floating on top of a cake.

San Pellegrino

I highly recommend these skis to any woman wanting to enjoy themselves and push the pace on their next holiday, someone who will be doing a fair bit of piste but might want to head off-piste to have a play around.

Agile on piste and confidence building off piste the Women’s Aira 80 TI gives you all the power and performance with those little women’s specific tweaks that improve the ride for adventurous female skiers.

If you are going to the Dolomites I reccomend at least trying a Bombardino, a warm creamy drink comprising of brandy, rum, eggnog, and sometimes also espresso. Definitely would wake you up in the morning.
