The North Face Fuse Form Originator Jacket Test Photo Blog
Recently Nicole and Rich were given the opportunity to test the revised Fuse Form Originator jackets from The North Face. The name Fuse Form comes from the manufacturing technique used to weave two pieces of fabric into one. With this technique The North Face were able to manufacture the Fuse Form Originator jacket out of a single piece of fabric eliminating a lot of stitching and taping. The end result is a very lightweight jacket that is robust and moves with the user with minimum noise and maximum comfort.
Below are some of the photos of Nicole and Rich putting the Fuse Form through it’s paces. Although both of our testers used the jacket in the rain and stayed dry neither stopped around for long enough to get a picture! Both however have been impressed with the weight and durability of the jacket having had several climbing sessions in it along with some running and cycling and the general day to day commute.
Nicole, an ex-member and good friend of the LD team is a photographer and filmmaker who specialises in adventure and promotional film as well as fitting in wedding photography! Nicole’s photography has been exhibited at the Rheged Discovery Centre and she currently has a film featured on the British Mountaineering Councils website.
When she’s not at work Nicole can be found rock climbing outside all year round and ripping up the piste on her snowboard in the winter months.
