Product Reviews for Trek GTX
Took the boots to Ă…lesund to hike and climb a couple of mountains. The boots were really comfortable and had good grip on rocks, gravel, mud and fresh snow. They struggled for grip on ice and compacted snow but I expected that Will recommend to anyone who travels and hikes
Very pleased with quality, fit, comfort and delivery thanks
Purchased these boots for my husband. Arrived earlier than I expected. Good quality product and look great
I've only had these boots for a week so can't give a in depth review. But so far they are very comfortable & fit really nice. I have flat feet so I wouldn't buy if you have a wide or high arch. Waterproofing seems brilliant so far & the boot are high on the ankle so can walk comfortably through shallow streams.
The soft leather around the top of the boot make them extremely comfy and really nice to wear when breaking the rest of the boot in. Waterproofing of the boot seems amazing. Amazing support for ankles, making them a perfect pair to be wearing when carrying a pack, but great even when just carrying out light amounts of hiking. Highly highly recommend
This is the 3rd pair of Scarpa Trek GTX boots that I have had and they are very comfortable straight from the box and I use them for Munro trips and also locally in the Peak District. I wear orthotic insoles with them instead of the provided ones and find they are a great fit. I need a reasonably wide fit at the front and have relatively slim ankles these boots grip well so no slippage. In all the time I have worn these boots I have never had chafing or a blister of any sort - I highly recommend them for any level of walker.
Nice fit straight from box, light as well, will take a walking crampon as well so would do for all year walking
Bought these boots from LD mountain centre, arrived quickly and good price. First time wearing them was for an 8 mile walk, felt a bit clompy to start with but soon settled down, quality appears good, expecting them to last longer than me.
Comfortable straight out of the box, replacement of worn out pair. Average 40/50 miles a week across a variety of conditions from lowland to mountain walks....excellent and would buy again
Great boots ,as to be expected from Scarpa, light tough, very well made and above all comfortable right from the box. The Vibram soles are stiff enough for protection from rough ground, yet flexible in the right place for the feet to function well. The hooks and eyes are really well designed and quick to secure the laces. A really good all-round walking boot! My 7th pair of Scarpa boots (over 40 years).

This is the second pair of Scarpa Trek GTX that I have had the previous ones are still in good shape but I have worn the soles down heavily. I opted for a new pair as the pricing was good rather than a resole as I prefer the support that you get from a new upper rather than the old relaxed comfy state of the old pair. I started with these boots when I found my previous Asolo Powermatics were feeling too narrow as my feet have changed shape slightly over the years, the Scarpas have a better width and foot volume (I wear full bed orthotics with them) whilst still working for my slim heel area.
You can't go wrong with Scarpa boots, they're solid and can take on the most arduous conditions. I find these a great fit, very comfortable and well made. Suitable for a variety of mountain and fell walks. Service from LD is fast and reliable. I live local in South Shields so it's always nice to know I'm support a local climbing shop. Thanks!
