Great shoes, Scarpa are always such a good fit and great service.

I have had these Scarpa shoes for 10 years! They remain waterproof until the soles wear out. I dread this model being discontinued. Expensive but worth the investment

This is the third pair of Scarpa Vortex I have bought in the last 15 years. This is simply because they are so good, not because they wear out. I wear them constantly for every walk and when they start getting a little bit worn I leave them at our sons house in Switzerland and use them when I am there on holiday!! One pair got lost in their recent house move hence I ordered another pair!

Very pleased with my shoes. I have used them in the dry and wet and they have performed well. They are sturdy and comfortable too. LD Mountain Centre were the only company I could find to stock ladies size 42 and most companies started the men’s sizes at 43 so this was a find ! They also delivered these shoes super quick . I've had Scarpa boots before so I knew what I was getting, and am very pleased with them. LD Mountain Centre had the best price and the delivery was really quick. I will definitely shop there again.

Very comfortable and supportive from the word go . My only comment is that the sizing differences are quite extreme - I bought a 40 and a 41 to try. The 40 was a great fit width wise but just too short in length so I opted for the 41. Length generous but not too noticeably big but it’s the width that has also dramatically increased . Have to tighten the laces very tight and still feel a bit cavernous around the front and sides and a bit of a pain to undo and then do again every time I take them on and off . I don’t have particularly narrow feet so for me a half size up instead would have been perfect . So this is just a fit issue and lots of manufacturers are the same .

This is the first pair of boots that I have ever bought online, the only way to do it at the minute, with the shops shut, and the previous pair having worn through on the heels. So grateful to LD's efficient ordering and delivery system. As an exact replacement for my previous pair I thought it was a fairly safe bet that they would fit. According to my phone, I have walked about 2000 miles in the last 12 months, most of that on roads in my Scarpa Vortex boots, and they are definitely very comfortable, for my feet anyway. My only niggle is that because I have a high instep, the otherwise very helpful piece of material that folds away when you lace them up, and keeps your feet nice and dry, takes a while to soften, so I get a bit of bruising on the top of my foot until my feet and the new boots adjust to each other.

This is my second pair of Vortex GTX shoes from Scarpa. Made a big mistake of buying another big brand walking shoe after last pair wore out which was a big mistake. Glad to be back wearing these shoes which I find are a perfect fit for my feet. My partner loves his Scarpa boots to.

These are replacements for my original Scarpa Vortex, which I have worn for many years. They are suitable for town or country, are very comfortable, waterproof and require no “breaking in”. I find Scarpa reliable in fit and quality therefore I did not hesitate to purchase them online from LD who provided an efficient delivery service as promised.

I am onto my fourth pair of these superb walking shoes. My feet have never hurt during a walk in these shoes and I have covered thousands of miles in all weathers. Why look for something new when I know I can rely on these?

Comfortable from the start. Walked 10 miles through muddy fields and banks then along the beach and over seaweed covered rocks. Excellent grip. Highly recommended.

These shoes require no breaking in. They are comfortable waterproof and give great traction and support. I am now on my third pair and use them on a daily basis. Can't fault them.

These are my 3rd pair, having worn out each of my previous pairs. They are not for the high mountains where more ankle support is required but are excellent for lower level walks & trails. Comfortable straight from the box. Recommend highly.

I first bought these about 10 years ago and would not buy any other approach / walking shoe. Back then I was an outdoor education instructor so wore them to their extremes most days, come rain or shine on the moor, or uneven terrain, cycling and just walking to the shop. Now I have retired and see no reason to try anything different. These are once again a great fit and hopefully will be just as durable as the last several pairs have been. Whilst in work these lasted about 18 months of constant wear, I hope that now they will last a little longer with less intense wear.
