Sole of one shoe bulging under ball of foot = returned to be exchanged for a non-defective pair. Shoes true to size and a good fit, not too narrow in the toe area. Appear to be sturdy and don't look like they'll fail prematurely. Can't comment on comfort in use as only tried them on in the house before feeling then seeing the defect. Though my last pair of Scarpa, Mojitos, have lasted many years but now need resoled.

I’ve worn a few shoes in the past but this is my third pair of mescalitos. Good stability and relatively hard wearing sole with good grip. And they are waterproof, unlike some other goretex shoes I’ve used previously

Good quality, good fit (+ one size) comfortable and clean easily

Great fit, very grippy, fit perfectly and really like the ability to lace to suit the activity as they lace nearly to the toe.

These shoes really are the best, for me anyway. Outstanding quality and so comfortable.

After years of wearing Salomon I have been pleased that these Scarpa shoes have been more than a match to the previous Salomon offerings. Comfort and performance on the Scottish hills. Worth the price.
