The Arc'teryx Womens Vertex Alpine GTX is a complete rethinking of the approach shoe - balancing the fit and performance of a trail running shoe with the stability required for long days on technical terrain. Light, fast, waterproof and combining support and protection with a secure, comfortable ride. A full GORE-TEX liner seals out wet and snow, and the sticky Vibram XS Flash 2 outsole is designed for edging, on-trail performance and grip in wet and dry conditions - the climbing-grade rubber compound that defines whether an approach shoe is genuinely climb-capable. A TPU shank provides underfoot protection and stiffness for improved stability, with a TPU toe cap adding protection and abrasion resistance. The knit collar seals out debris and integrates with the tongue to create a secure, comfortable sock-like fit - the structural detail that lifts the Vertex above traditional approach shoes. An integrated tongue pocket tucks away laces to prevent snags and untying. EVA/Polyolefin blended midsole features a higher abrasion component in the forefoot for scrambling. Integrated carabiner attachment points handle easy transport. Cordura recycled PES upper, PFCec-Free DWR treatment. The tread is specifically designed to provide grip while edging and offer on-trail traction with climbing performance.

Arc'teryx Size Chart (Women's Footwear)

Arc'teryx use unisex EU sizing with foot length in centimetres (Mondo). The US Women's conversion is shown here; the equivalent US Men's is one size smaller.

Fit note: The Vertex Alpine GTX runs true to size and uses a precision-fit approach-shoe last - the snug midfoot hold pairs with a TPU shank for proper edging on technical ground. The knit collar creates a sock-like seal at the cuff. Half sizes are available.
