Ideal purchase on many fronts; Lightweight. Using chinstrap makes it withstand strong winds. Head doesn’t overheat and any sweat soon dries. Good adjustment makes for a comfortable fit. Good value for money.
I have a couple of Outdoor Research things, Ferrosi trouser and jacket and they are bombproof so I already knew this was a top brand I could trust. The hat arrived last week so not really had much time to check out its capabilities yet but it looks great, fits well and I love it! I am a stand up paddleboarder and spend a lot of time in the Portuguese sun so needed more than a regular bb cap and hopefully this will give me the protection I need. Price was also great from LD Mountain Centre but I thing £4.99 was expensive for delivery; it amounted to almost a third of the price of the hat! Other than that I am happy.
Great product, very light and has good coverage of ears and back of neck, folds away to a good size.
Fantastic hat been used it in the Lake District yesterday and it was comfortable and worked well in the 4 seasons I had in the one day
As it's winter I haven't tried the hat in the sun yet but trying it on it feels great for what I want it for - backpacking - nice and light, foldable, a good brim to keep the sun off and adjustable fitting. I'm looking forward to testing it out.
This is the second identical hat I've purchased from LD Mountain Centre, the first being for my brother who also loves it. The hat is build well with a nice type of fabric used. It is very comfortable to wear, and the brim is wide enough to keep the sun off, but not impede head movement eg when tilting head back. The service I received again from LD Mountain Centre was excellent. The item was shipped promptly and the whole process of using the online shop was smooth and easy.

I purchased this sun hat after my brother was very pleased with an identical model he has. It is lightweight and fits well. The hat provides good protection. I searched the internet to find the Dusk colour which few places seem to stock. LD Mountain centre came up trumps.
