Taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award Programme is a life changing experience and open's the door to amazing adventures and masses of fun as you tackle a range of activities, all leading up to the achievement of an Award that is recognised by universities and employers alike, helping give you a head start.

As you progress through the Award Scheme you will need some specialist equipment to help you get the most out of the challenges and activities. This guide is designed to help you find and select the right equipment for your expeditions and DofE adventures. It is by no means definitive and you may not need all of the equipment listed for all of your activities. If you do have any questions, ask a member of staff in store, or if buying online, send us an email. Many of the staff here at the LD Mountain Centre have been involved in the DofE scheme, either as participants like yourself or as leaders and instructors.
