The Fjallraven Yupik Parka is a large winter jacket with synthetic lining that reaches down over the rear and thighs. The fluorocarbon free Hydratic® Fabric is wind and waterproof while the Supreme MicroLoft insulation generates excellent warmth making this the perfect winter jacket for harsh weather conditions. The Yupik Parka features a detachable hood with soft fleece lining and warm synthetic fur trim that will protect the face from strong winds and spindrift. There are many practical internal and external pockets, too many to mention, so read the list above.

Amidst the disruption of COVID-19, our fantastic warehouse team are safely dispatching your web orders and handling customer service enquiries. To help prevent the spread of the virus and keep our staff as safe as possible, we have reduced our customer service hours to 11:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. Following the current government guidance, our retail store on Dean Street, in Newcastle, is currently closed until further notice. We will re-open our doors on Dean Street once it has been deemed safe to do so.

Returns Update:


From the 9th March/2020, any returning orders must first be authorised via email, web@ldmountaincentre.com.


To do this, simply email with your reference number, product name and reason for return. Once authorisation has been received you are free to return the item to store within the 28-day policy as described below. Please ensure that any returned items are sent using an Insured and Traceable mail service as LD Mountain Centre cannot accept any responsibility for items lost whilst in transit.

In the event of a UK lockdown sanctioned by the government, whereby communities are required to self-isolate, we understand courier services may not be available in the affected areas. During this period any returns with email authorisation can be held by the customer until courier companies are back in action. Once courier operations are accessible a 14 day period will start in which products must be returned/received in store.

Please note: We ask that any returned items are unused/unworn and are returned within the same packaging as they arrived, with their product tags still attached. Any items received in-store with signs of use will be returned to the customer and will not be exchanged/refunded.

Any items returned beyond the standard policy period without authorisation will not be accepted and will be returned to the customer without exception.


We will actively communicate updates as they become available. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we navigate this challenge together.

The carriers we use for dispatch are Royal Mail for 2nd Class deliveries, and DPD for Next Working Day, 48hr (2 working days). These are exclusively for UK orders.

Our One Hour Delivery Window (DPD Shipments only)

DPD provide our customers with a one hour delivery window so that you don't have to wait in all day for your parcel.

Orders made after these times will be dispatched the following day. A signature will be required for Next Working Day and 48 Hours (2 working days) delivery goods so please make sure someone is at the delivery address to sign for the goods or send them to an address where someone will be available. There are no refunds on shipping costs unless LD Mountain Centre is responsible for the error. For international orders, the couriers we use are, DPD and FedEx.

Please be advised that for countries outside the EU, as well as the Canary Islands, there may be customs and VAT charges that the customer will be expected to pay. LD Mountain Centre are not liable for these payments. Some other large International orders may also be dispatched via FedEx.

Returns and Exchanges

Here at LD Mountain Centre we are committed to customer satisfaction. It is for this reason that we offer a 28 day return policy. We ask that any returned items are unused/unworn and are returned within 28 days of their purchase date in the same packaging as they arrived and with their product tags still attached.

Please Note: We are unable to accept any returns with any clear sign of cosmetic or fragrance use. We are also unable to accept any returns on Underwear, Electronics, DVDs or items governed by PPE Law (Snowsport and Climbing Helmets, Climbing Hardware, Climbing Ropes, Iceaxes or Crampons.) 

Our Online Returns System makes it easy to exchange or return any unsuitable or unwanted products. If, for any reason, you wish to return an item you have purchased from the LD Mountain Centre Website please go to the Your Account section of our website. If you already have an account, please log in. If not, please register a new account using the same email address used when placing your order. 

Once logged in to your account, select the ‘My Order History’ link and on the new page select the order you wish to return. Mark the tick box beside the item(s) you wish to return and enter the quantity being returned. Once done, click the ‘Return Item(s)’ button at the bottom right of the page.

You will be sent an email with a returns form attached. Please print and complete the form,  enclose the top part of the form with your item. 

Please ensure that any returned items are sent using an Insured and Traceable mail service as LD Mountain Centre cannot accept any responsibility for items lost whilst in transit. 

We aim to process returned orders as quickly as possible once we have received them, however, in busy periods refunds and exchanges may take up to 7 working days to process.

Upon inspection of a returned product, LD Mountain Centre will issue a full refund to the card used for the purchase less the original delivery charge. Any used items will be denied a refund and returned to the customer at his/her expense. Warranty items are subject to inspection and only eligible for repair, replacement or disposal.

Excellent Parka, Even Better Service!

The parka speaks for itself, it's a Fjallraven Parka with -loads- of pockets. It's warm, it's bombproof, it's waterproof.

If you're looking at this, you will probably already know the quality of Fjallraven stuff. I'm 5'7 and 80kg and S was a good fit. It's a slightly larger cut than other Fjallraven jackets, so while I own other Fjallraven tops in M, the S was a way better fit on this.

On a different note, the level of service from LD was outstanding. The courier managed to go to the wrong house, and they were totally uncontactable. I phoned the guys at LD and they had sorted it within 20 minutes, to get the courier to come back to the correct location.

Genuinely great service, and a pretty-much unbeatable price. Nice work!

Nice quality

I had been eyeing this parka for a while and finally took the plunge and brought my first fjallraven product. Got the coat at an excellent price with fast delivery from Ld Mountain too.

I'm really glad I purchased this jacket and can backup the reviews by others to the quality that comes from a fjallraven product.

At 6,6" & 16st I'm usually between a L & XL size in most things. I took a chance on the large & this fits me really well, with enough room for layering.

Not had chance to try this out in any typical British winter weather as of yet, as it's currently the beginning of October but have no doubt when the temperatures drop over the next few weeks this will show it's worth.
