Arc’teryx AR Hoody Features:
The Arc’teryx Proton AR Hoody is new in their Ascent Range and is another take on synthetic insulation that's been designed for high intensity activies in cold weather thanks to breathable insulation and fabrics that combine protection and the ability to wick moisture vapour efficiently. On the outside there's tough air-permeable Fortius Air 40, a 40 denier plain-weave face fabric, while on the inside, there's a more permeable material aimed at getting sweat and steam out and away as fast as possible. Between these two layers sits super-efficient CoreLoft Continuous 90 synthetic insulation. With a helmet compatible hood, two hand and two chest pockets this new jacket works like a soft shell and provides mid-layer protection in colder conditions.
The athletic trim fit is really stylish and allow me to move easily over a base layer.
The breathability and insulated warmth is excellent enough and the DWR allows me to use it as softshell.
Besides, it is super light, i would say lighter than my Atom
