Hestra Army Leather Heli Ski 3-Finger Glove features:
The Hestra Leather Heli Ski 3-Finger Glove is a waterproof glove with a classic design. This ‘trigger’ style glove is a cross between a ski glove and a mitt, giving you the additional warmth of a mitt with the extra dexterity of a glove, helpful when you’re fumbling for a lift pass. A removable, insulated liner makes these gloves even more versatile and not too hot for late season skiers. Long cuffs and a waterproof membrane make these gloves extra comfortable when conditions get bad. The Army Leather Heli Ski 3-Finger Glove is a popular choice for back-country and piste skiers alike.
I bought these for a January ski trip - not yet used but these are a quality glove and it is amazing how much more dextrous these are with the index finger compared to standard mitts.
The other essential (in my view) is the removable inner (which is 5 fingered) to aid drying.
Sizing is about "right" - I bought 10 where the Hestra size chart was 10-11.
Looking forward to the Powder.
Really nice. Kept my usually cold fingers nice and warm. 3 finger system gives a bit more dexterity than a mit. Removable inners mean they can be swapped for different ones to varying temps. Elastic slip on cuffs are great as it means you can quickly take a few photos without risking losing your glove.
Expensive but if youve suffered with cold hands in the past then i would rather invest in these for a few years than end up buying endless cheaper pairs to no avail.
